The City’s fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30. Each year, City staff prepares the annual budget, which is reviewed and adopted by the City Council by the end of June. Once adopted, the budget is posted on the City’s website. Hard copies are also available for public review at the City Clerk’s office and the County Library.

Each year, the City Council hires a registered independent accounting firm to audit the City’s financial statements. This independent examination ensures the accuracy and integrity of the City’s financial records. The audit firm is also available to respond to questions from the public.

The adopted annual budget and the audit report for both the City of Needles (General Fund), the Needles Public Financing Authority (NPFA) and the Housing Authority of the City of Needles are available for review. These documents are posted on the City Finance page. Also posted are the Anuual Impact Fee Reports. Copies of the reports can also be requested for a copying fee.

For current budget and audit information, please visit the City’s Finance page.
