Enjoy the Needles Aquatic Center!
Located in the heart of Needles, the Municipal Aquatic Center offers a perfect place for recreation, relaxation, and family fun. Featuring a 25-yard competition-sized pool, a thrilling two-story corkscrew slide, and a dedicated kiddy play area with a wading pool, there is something for everyone. Surrounding the pools is a lush park, complete with shaded areas, picnic tables, benches, and barbecue stands, making it an ideal spot to enjoy the outdoors. Open throughout the spring, summer, and early fall, the center also serves as the proud home of the Needles Sand Sharks Swim Team, offering opportunities for both competitive swimmers and casual visitors to enjoy a splash-filled day.

Every year, the Aquatic Center hosts a celebration for freedom on July 4th. This family fun day includes games, prizes and the crowning of Miss Freedom and Mr. Firecracker. Four and five-year-olds are eligible for the crowning.

The Aquatic Center is home to the Needles Sandsharks Swim Team. This swim team is a private, non-profit summer league team dedicated to fostering swimming skills for all ages and abilities.
With professional coaching and expert technique instruction, the Sandsharks provide a supportive environment where swimmers can improve, set personal goals, and achieve success – whether they’re beginners or aspiring international competitors. The focus goes beyond technique, helping athletes build self-confidence, discipline, integrity, and courage that will benefit them for life.
